This dealership lacked the 'snakeoil salesman' feel, which I appreciated. However, I would have liked to drive a harder bargain regarding the vehicle price, but had to stop short, because the Elantra is in such high demand at the moment that further cost lowering attempts on my part would have resulted in a breakdown of the negotiations and somebody else would be calling herself the owner of the red, four-wheeled beauty sitting in our garage today. Unfortunately that's just the luck of the draw if you have your mind set on this particular vehicle at this point in time. Took us on an extremely informative test drive showing us the cars performance. Our overall buying experience with Chris was pleasant. As for the finance person, "ED", he was very deceitful, we came in pre approved by OUR bank and requested that he fax the purchase order to our bank rep. which he refused to do saying that he does through the bank this way all the time; BUT his way cut our pre approval and local bank and rep. out of the loan credit while "ED" mislead us into thinking the loan was going to our bank as we requested. carriekasten 4/20/2011 11:04:43 PM Overall Score: 5.0 Reason for Visit: Sales (Used) I recommend this dealer: Yes Employee(s) Dealt With: Hugo Ortiz, Eric Kristian My Review of Universal Hyundai: After a bad experience with one employee, the internet sales team and Eric Krisitian came to our rescue and set us up with Hugo Ortiz. Hugo was extremely courteous and accommodating to our specific needs and was extremely helpful by providing us with straightforward information and quick response with answers that had to come from above. We highly recommend asking for Hugo when you visit Universal Hyundai. Salesman Axel Machin showed us were to go view the Elantra and didn't bug us, he let us take our time. We really appreciated the space. Axel was very knowledgeable of the Elantra and answered all our questions. Axel made purchasing our Elantra very pleasant. I would like to mention John, Felix and Cesar with their help we got the deal sealed. I haven't had the chance to use the Service Dept. but I'm sure if it's anywhere close to how we've been treated to date it will just as pleasant. With this being said I would recommend Universal Hyundai to our friends and family. He answered ALL my questions. I told him that I was not really sure of what brand or where I was going to purchase a vehicle. That in visiting other dealers, I had narrowed it down from twelve models to three. He did not put any pressure on me to decide on Hyundai or his dealership. He offered to let me sit in, look and test drive the ones I chose. We took three test drives in two Accents and one Elantra. I chose a Blue Accent. He was not overbearing in any aspect. We appreciated the fact that he was easy going, yet was extremely thorough in his explanation of the vehicle. I have never had a salesman explain everything in the manner that he did. Even after the purchase was finalized, he continued to make sure that we understood everything about the vehicle. My husband and I felt we got a very good deal on the new vehicle we purchase! The type of caliber of person Mr. Seminaro is, has definitely been demonstrated from the time my husband and I walked into the dealership until the time that we took delivery. Mr. Seminaro gave us a very detailed walk around the dealership and introduced us to everyone from the parts department to the service department. He made sure that we knew where every department was in the dealership, I feel he made sure that all of our questions were answered and that when we left, My husband and I feel that all of our questions were answered. Mr. Seminaro also made three follow-up calls to us to make sure that everything was fine and to make sure we were completely satisfied. I also feel that I need to mention the Sales Manager and Finance Manager; both gentlemen were very helpful and explained all documents that were involved in the sales process. I feel Universal Hyundai has a wonderful staff that definitely meets all of the clients needs. I will definitely be purchasing all of my vehicles in the future from Universal Hyundai. The car buying process is typically not enjoyable and takes way too long. However, Jonathan interacted with us while we waited for paperwork. He is personable and professional. Perception means everything in life and my perception was that he seemed to sincerely care about our situation and was working hard to help push things along. Jonathan truly turned our views of car salesman from negative to positive. We were greeted by Michael Pizza, and were told that he was on his third day as a Hyundai salesman. He was a personable and helpful representative, and after looking over the Genesis line that were in stock, we took one for a test and were impressed with the vehicle's ride and handling. We sat down to negotiate a sales price on the V-8 Genesis we had test driven, but reached a stalemate. Felix entered the picture, and told us they had just received a V-6 Genesis that had all the options of the V-8, same exterior and interior colors, that we could have at our price point. We agreed, and then went into the office of Jose Rivera to sign the papers. Jose took the time to explain the options of leasing versus purchase, extended warranty offerings, etc. We had planned to pay cash for the car, and had already written a check, but Jose said we could finance the car for three years at zero interest, so we decided to finance the car and purchase a Platinum extended warranty with the money saved on interest. We picked up our new Genesis the next day, it was ready at the promised time, and Michael Pizza spent quite a bit of time to explain operation of the vehicle and options that were on it. Buying a car can be a very trying experience, but our experience at Universal Hyundai turned out to be quite pleasant, and we never felt any undue pressure to make a deal. mcarmona 4/5/2011 4:56:32 PM Overall Score: 5.0 Reason for Visit: Sales (New) I recommend this dealer: Yes Employee(s) Dealt With: Adam Karlski My Review of Universal Hyundai: This dealership is great-- terrific customer service, speedy processing (w/o making you feel rushed), very attentive, etc. Adam is a rock star! He has sold 2 cars (2011 Santa Fe and Elantra) to my family and he's the only person we ever need to talk. We highly recommend him! I went to the dealership with one car in mind, and after Adam talked to me he recommended I go with the Elantra--and for good reason too. Adam truly wanted me to have the best car for myself. He was upfront and honest about the +/- of each car I was interested in and he gave me a terrific deal with the car I ultimately chose. They were flexible with the price negotiations. I ended up financing through the dealership with a good rate. The whole process took a few hours and I walked out of there feeling very good about the purchase and the whole customer service experience. This has by far been the most enjoyable, hassle free new car purchase I have ever made. The price was agreed upon before I even came to the dealership. Upon completion of the purchase the price was as agreed upon to the penny no ups or downs or hidden fees or ad dons. I rode my bicycle to an agreed upon pickup point and the salesman delivered the vehicle to me there. Great experience. From the moment I stepped on the premises, Teodoro Seminario welcomed me with a great smile and handshake. Once I told him what I was looking for he was extremely helpful. He knows his stuff. Great personality. His knowledge of the cars he sales is amazing. I had already visited a few other car dealers and had promised to return, but once I met Teodoro that was it! Orlando, Fl 32837 On March 9, 2011 I went to Universal Hyundai with my son, Kevin N. to co-sign his first vehicle purchase. As soon as I parked my vehicle a Sales Consultant offered me assistance. His name is Jose Cepeda. He was a handsome and gentle guy and oriented my son and I about the car we desired. I told Mr. Cepeda the models of the vehicle we were interested in, as well as the conditions to qualify for the payments. Rapidly he and Mr. Felix Matos, the Desk Manager, showed us a 2007 Hyundai Tiburon Special Edition as well as a few other vehicles. Immediately my son fell in love with the Tiburon. Jose and Mr. Felix Matos consulted both of us about the financing procedures. My son and I were very pleased with the attention that we received we decided to purchase the 2007 Hyundai Tiburon Special Edition. I felt so happy for the kind of experience we had with Mr. Jose Cepeda that I decided to purchase another vehicle for myself. On March 12, 2011 I went back to Universal Hyundai and dealt with Jose again. He drove me to view the vehicles in an exhibition at McCoy where they were hosting a bank event and explained the process of leasing. Again Jose consulted with Mr. Felix Matos and he gently gave me all the information about having an opportunity to qualify and monthly payments. I decided to buy a 2010 Toyota Corolla. For the time I spent waiting at the Dealer, Mr. Cepeda offered me food and beverage. Giving me the consideration and awesome treatment I noticed that he did the same for all the other clients as well. To summarize, all the employees at Universal Hyundai gave me an excellent service. For that reason I will refer anyone I know with the intention to purchase to your Dealer. This dealer has raised the bar when it comes to customer service. I would definitely recommend this dealer to other prospects in the market for a new or newer car. Hugo Ortiz made this scary process for me a breeze. I wouldn't request anyone else, not that the others aren't good, I personally was truly satisfied with his attention to detail and his drive to ensure that I got what I wanted and nothing less or more. Cesar Robles did a wonderful job as well, when it comes to the financial aspect of this experience. I was very impressed with his honesty and his willingness to make sure that I was being treated fairly as a new first time car buyer. As a recent college graduate this was a very big move for me and my future. I felt an ease throughout the process thanks to him. I contacted several dealerships on Monday morning regarding a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited. He was the first to respond. He had two in stock, and was great in explaining the cars he had. I came to the dealership a few hours later. Richard gave us the most in-depth review of the car, and let us test drive the car. After we made a deal, he helped us set everything up - including syncing our iPhones to the Bluetooth, and gave us a full overview of everything the car had to offer. I would do business with Universal Hyundai (and especially Richard) any day. At first I did not believe them until I saw the customer, she bought the car and I was offered to look at a 2009 Certified Hyundai Sonata. Hugo did a great job showing me the benefits of a Certified Hyundai and I am very happy that the Toyota got sold, this car is great, and Hyundai has come a long way. He went beyond his scope of duties by following us to our home to pick up a form we had forget for the loan as well as a set of keys. I also left a CD in my trade in vehicle, which I thought would be lost forever. Tito located my trade in and put the CD in the mail.
